What we keep, and why.

Last updated 1 November 2026

Seamza is a tool for tailors and the people they dress. To do that it holds personal data: names, phone numbers, measurements, photos of garments and sometimes of bodies, and records of what was ordered and paid. This page says plainly what we collect, what we do with it, who sees it, and what you can ask us to do. It is written to meet the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 (NDPA) and the Nigeria Data Protection Regulation, and we apply the same standard wherever you are.

Who is responsible

Seamza is the data controller for the accounts, the marketplace and the app itself. A tailor’s shop is the controller for the client records it keeps in its own book on Seamza, and Seamza processes that data on the shop’s instructions. Questions about either go to privacy@seamza.com.

What we collect

From tailors and their staff

From clients

From everyone

What we use it for

We do not sell personal data, and we do not show advertising.

Who sees it

Where it lives and for how long

Data is stored with Supabase in the European Union and backed up daily. We keep an account’s data for as long as the account is open. AI preview images are deleted after 30 days unless saved to a client record. Stage photos and measurements stay with the order. If you close your account we delete it within 30 days, keeping only what tax law requires (invoices) and a record that deletion happened.

Your rights

Under the NDPA you can ask us to:

We answer within 30 days and we do not charge for it.

Children

Seamza is for adults. A tailor may keep a child’s measurements in the book on a parent’s behalf; the parent’s account is the one we deal with.

Changes

If this page changes in a way that matters, we tell you in the app before it takes effect. The date at the top is the version you are reading.
